AIKEN, SC -- JESSE JAMES LOTT, JR., 54, died suddenly of natural causes at his home in Aiken on June 28, 2010.
Jesse was born at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA. He was a son of the late Jesse James and Verla Frances Camp Lott, Sr.. As part of a military family, Jesse was privileged to have lived in and experience many foreign countries and cities thru out the United States. He earned his BA in Business and Music from LSU, and earned his MBA from Florida State University. While at LSU, Jesse played trumpet in the LSU Marching Tigers Band. He served in the US Army, and played with the US Army Band. He retired from the army as a Lt. Colonel. He was currently a Customs Broker for UPS. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League.
Jesse will be remembered for making music everywhere he went. He sang like an angel and played numerous musical instruments. Jazz and Blues were his favorites.
Jesse was a true southern gentleman, polite and gentle. He enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his dog Brazen, his best buddy. He enjoyed competing with Brazen in agility contests.
Survivors include three sisters; Sylvia (Charlie) Bennett of Frankfort, MI, Carol (Denny) Breck of Yankton, SD and Mary (Joe) Bentley of Sheldon, WA, a brother, Thomas (Tanya) Lott of Denham Springs, LA, a number of nieces and nephews and his former wife Susan Lott of Aiken.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
