Lorne L. Vincent

AIKEN – TSgt Lorne L. Vincent, USAF Retired, 81, beloved husband of Caroleen “Carol” Vincent, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017.   Born in Foxworth, MS, Mr. Vincent was a son of the late Fred M. and Jeanette Varnado Vincent, Jr. He served in the US Air Force stateside as well as in Germany and Pakistan. After retiring from the Air Force he and his wife moved to Washington DC where he worked for the Department of Energy. They then moved to Aiken in 1980. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shriner’s Club. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent had been married for 48 years.   In addition to his wife, Sergeant Vincent is survived by two daughters, Lorinda (Ja) Chriesman, Dallas, TX; Lisette Hawkins, San Angelo, TX; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Joy Owens of Hattiesburg, MS.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.   Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2017 in Beaufort National Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, October 22, 2017 at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801 (803)642-3456 To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Lorne L.
