August 8, 1978 — May 25, 2017

  AIKEN, SC – REID EARNHARDT TALBERT, 38, beloved husband of Erica Cromer Talbert, died Thursday, May 25, 2017. Born in Augusta, GA, Reid was a son of Kay Buckner and the late Steve Earnhardt Talbert.  He was a lifelong resident of Aiken and graduated from Aiken High School.  Reid never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. He dearly loved his family, friends, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. People were drawn to his infectious smile, his huge heart and his carefree spirit. He was an outstanding salesperson at Aiken Housing Center and achieved the award for salesperson of the year many times. He attended Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus.      Reid will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew and loved him. We are confident and comforted in the fact that he is now resting in the arms of Jesus.      Survivors, in addition to his wife, Erica, include four children, Kayla Stone, Christopher Stone, Hailey Talbert, Abbigail Talbert; his mother and step-father, Kay and Jerry Buckner, all of Aiken, sister, Courtney Sahm (Donny), Augusta, GA; two brothers, Scott Brinson (Kim), Aiken, Travis Brinson, Los Angeles, CA; niece and nephews, Madeline Sahm, Coleman, Logan and Dylan Brinson.      The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, May 30th beginning at noon at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus.  The funeral will follow at 2 o’clock at the church with The Revs. Phillip Lee and Dr. Tim McClendon officiating.  Private burial will follow in the Historic Bethany Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Chris Owens, John Yonce, Jason McCollum, Charlie Wright, Earnest Lee and Donny Sahm.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Faith Home, 144 Faith Home Road, Greenwood, SC  29649.
